Expected Qualifying Round: Oct 04, 2025 - Final Round: Oct 18, 2025
The contest is expected to take place as follows:
- June, 2025: Announcing contest regulations
- Jul, 2025: Inviting institutions to participate
- Aug, 2025: Application for Qualifying round starts
- Oct 04th, 2025: Qualifying round officially takes place online
- Oct 18th, 2025: The Final round officially takes place
=> REGISTRATON
Students from all universities, institutions, colleges throughout ASEAN countries are eligible to register. The maximum members for each team is no more than 04.
The contest consists of 02 rounds: Qualifying round and Final round. All teams will compete with each other in information security knowledge and skills following CTF format.
All contestants must oblige to the contest regulations and must participate in the contest no more than twice (see more regulations).
ASEAN Student Contest on Information Security (ASCIS) is Capture the Flag contest (see more ascis.vn) for students from higher-education institutions in ASEAN (up to 04 students from the same institution shall form a team). 2025 marked the 18th time the contest is organized for Vietnamese students and the seventh time its eligibility is expanded to include students from ASEAN region.
The contest is an important activity of the annual event “Vietnam Cyber Security Day” organized by VNISA under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of Vietnam.


- Qualifying round (Oct, 5, 2024): 248 teams joined online.
- Final round (Oct, 19, 2024: 56 teams from Vietnam participating onsite and 27 teams from ASEAN participating online. Divided into 2 stages: "Jeopardy" and "Attack-Defense"
- Team UIT.Efficiency won First Prize for Jeopard
- Team KMA.Orange won First Prize for Attack-Defense
